Our Services

Every piano is different, which mean every piano has different needs. Tricia uses the latest technology in partnership with her aural skills to get your piano to look and sound its very best.

TUNING

Keeping your piano tune is a lot like keeping your teeth healthy, but not as painful! Like going to the dentist, we recommend tuning your piano every 6 months, coinciding with the seasons, and changing from the A/C in summer to the heater in winter. Unlike going to the dentist, we won't tell you to floss or brush your piano everyday. All you have to do is play it and enjoy it!

The cost for a tuning depends on how often you tune it. The less you get it tuned, the more out of tune it gets, and the more it will cost to get it back into shape. Just like your teeth, the more you take care of them, the longer they'll last.  Plan on about 2 hours for this service.

REPAIR

Basic repairs that can be done during a tuning appointment do not need a separate appointment, and are included in the cost of a tuning. There are times, though, that more complex repairs are required.

When a repair is needed that cannot be done quickly during a tuning, a separate appointment will need to be made.

The costs of repairs vary, and are based on the amount of time required to complete the repair, and the cost of any parts needed.

CLEANING

Keeping the inside of the piano clean is a little more difficult than polishing the outside. A full cleaning service involves removing the action and all the keys of the piano. There is often decades of dust, items, and cobwebs inside any piano. After removing the action and keys, the inside is cleaned of debris, vacuumed, and wiped down. Keys are also wiped clean individually.

Cleaning inside the piano is important to maintain the functionality of all the moving parts. Lack of attention to the inside of the piano can lead to broken parts, and even more expensive repairs. Plan on about 1-2 hours.

RESTORATION

Piano restoration is what first attracted Tricia to the field and she is happiest in the piano workshop. Her attention to detail shines through in her restorations.

Restoring a piano to its original condition involves a huge time and financial commitment. This service is provided on a case by case basis, and will involve moving your piano to the workshop during restoration. To see pics of the restoration process, CLICK HERE
